Welcome to Leah’s Homestay, a warm and thoughtfully maintained century‑old residence designed to give travelers a calm, comfortable, and pet‑friendly place to land. The house blends original 1920s character with modern conveniences, offering spacious rooms, smart lighting in shared areas, high‑speed 5G+ internet throughout, and a layout that supports both privacy and connection.
This two‑story home features shared public spaces on the main floor, including a cozy living room with a TV, a welcoming dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen that guests are welcome to use. Much of the original architecture remains intact, giving the home a sense of history and charm. Free street or driveway parking is available, and guests traveling by motorcycle or bicycle may store them securely in the locked garage. For added peace of mind, a whole‑house alarm system is active nightly (10pm–5:40am in winter; 11pm–5:40am in summer).
The main floor includes two private guest rooms - Rufus and Sarge - each with its own personality and ideal guest profile. Upstairs, a short flight of 13 steps leads to two additional rooms - Lady’s and Sophie’s - both located at the quieter back of the house. All rooms include a worktable or desk, high‑speed internet, and a SAD light bulb for guests who appreciate balanced lighting during darker months. Bed sizes vary by room, allowing guests to choose the setup that best fits their needs.
The neighborhood is quiet, walkable, and convenient. Guests can stroll to restaurants, fast food, the Riverwalk, or the Harbor Viewing Tower. The local hospital is just a 4–6‑minute drive away, and a free shuttle stop for hospital workers sits only three houses down at the historic Olympic Stadium. Whether you’re a travel nurse, a solo adventurer, a couple, a parent with a child, or a guest traveling with pets, Leah’s Homestay offers a safe, friendly, and flexible place to rest and recharge.
Leah's Homestay in Hoquiam is Alcohol Free
We stayed at Leah's Homestay for two nights and enjoyed both the house and the surrounding area. It is a small town, but you can find good food and places to stroll along the beach there. Leah is very friendly and helpful, and her lovely dog made our stay even more relaxing ☺️ We would recommend Leah's Homestay to other travelers. Maryna – May 2025
Thank you Leah, Sarge & Lady for hosting me and my husband for the memorial day weekend. Leah was more than welcoming to the both of us + understanding of my husband's fear of dogs. She was very pleasant to the both of us and we enjoyed staying at her wonderful home-stay. Added bonus is that you get a chance to meet Sarge and Lady, who were very well behaved and sweet :) Sruthi - May 2022
